FEES

HYLA is a non-profit organization funded by player fees and, to the extent available, sponsors.  All staff, including board members and coaches, are volunteers.  HYLA will not turn any child away, however, due to true financial hardship, and such circumstances can be confidentially discussed with any board member.  Some examples of what player fees cover are outlined below:

  • player equipment costs/upkeep [helmets, pads, goggles, supplies]

  • mouthguards

  • goalie equipment

  • game balls

  • equipment storage facility rental charges

  • field maintenance and setup [goals, nets, grass upkeep, line painting and sprayer]

  • officials fees [HYLA uses U.S. Lacrosse certified officials for every game]

  • U.S. Lacrosse membership for every player [which includes excess health insurance]

  • coaches equipment and bags [notebook, first aid kit, practice aids, balls]

  • coach training materials [books and online materials]

  • insurance

  • school facility usage charges

  • truck rental as needed to move equipment

  • trophys for all players, certificates for Laxkidz participants

  • Laxkidz shirts

  • sponsor recognition banners

  • internet services

  • fun day food and supplies

  • printing of flyers and other administrative expenses
