It is Ohio's premier youth lacrosse tournament. Space limitations preclude posting all Ohio Cup rules on this site. Official Rules are provided in the Coaches Packets sent to teams or can be requested from the Ohio Cup coordinator [see below]. In general, however, participant Leagues can send one of their regular season teams, the team that won their league tournament or a team of select players. Proof of age qualification must be available. In the boys division, the tournament is divided into two groups. The ‘A’ division teams typically consist of All-star type teams or program teams with a strong competitive level of play and the ‘B’ division teams consist of program teams at or above their expected level. When registering your team, please select your division of play truthfully and honestly. Especially at this age level, fair competition only makes these youngsters better sports participants, win or lose, and we are here to help make them not only become better players, but have a great lacrosse experience. Registration deadline is May 14, 2009. The Ohio Cup will be held on June 12, 13 and 14, 2009 in Hilliard, Ohio. The location has moved this year to an adjacent facility. see the site information below. This tournament will field both boys and girls teams. We will try to provide, but cannot guarantee, a consolation game for any team that is eliminated after their first two games. The boy’s field rules will be those for the Junior Division as published in the Boys Lacrosse Rules Book. This book is available from the National Federation of State High School Associations by calling 800-776-3462, from the US Lacrosse publications or may be found in book stores (Borders, Barnes & Noble) and at Amazon.com.
